An encyclopedia of rainforest animals and plants provides photographs and video on all the major animal and plant groups that live in the rainforests, from millipedes to monkeys. All the world's tropical rainforests are also shown on detailed maps, with rainforest and former rainforest regions highlighted. Each chapter features a quiz section, and a full index allows rapid access to keywords. In this new version, all text and graphics can be printed from within the program, the video and interface windows have been enlarged, and information on temperate rainforests has been added.

An 'interactive village' section allows younger users to find out which objects in everyday life come from the rainforest.

Part of the proceeds from the disk go to support the Rainforest Action Network and Floresta, two key organizations working to save the rainforests of the world.
